But freedom is fragile. It has been surrendered before — not all at once, but quietly, one "sensible" law at a time, usually in the name of unity or safety. And here's what stops people cold when they actually read the book: the Bible described a moment exactly like this. Long ago, in the book of Revelation, prophecy warned of a day when the freedom to worship according to conscience would come under pressure — when the world would be told how, and when, everyone must worship.
