Welcome to Lakeland Seventh-day Adventist Church Web Space. We are a central Florida Christian community, saved by grace through faith in Christ alone (Eph. 2:8). We are committed to Jesus as the Lord of our lives, and committed to building Christian community with one another and those around us, so that God's kingdom may come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Luke 11:2). By word and example, we seek to promote God's love (Jn. 3:16-17) and life more abundantly now (Jn. 10:10), in anticipation of a soon second coming of Christ.
We have installed UV lighting in our air handling system in order to maintain the healthiest breathing environment we can for all of our guests. I encourage you to partner with us by talking with your doctor about getting vaccinated and I thank those who (like my wife, my mother-in-law, and me) already have been vaccinated, as we stand together in faith and action with the Lord to guide us through these pandemic days. Also, if you are aware that you have been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID, the safest thing to do is to self-quarantine from being out in public, to stores or church services, for a week in order to prevent exposing others if you have become infected.
We invite you to join us in-person, with your face mask on, at 1435 Gilmore Ave. Our building opens at 9:40am and closes at 12:10pm every Saturday. You may also join us online by going to our church Facebook page, www.facebook.com/LakelandSDA. To learn more about what we believe you can visit our "About Us" page.
You may also visit live.lakelandsda.org from Your Computer to participate in Our Live Worship Services, which will allow you to chat with us and others online without needing a Facebook account. You can also view and message us using the Facebook App from your Smart Phone or Tablet. (NOTE: live.lakelandsda.org does NOT work from smart phones or tablets.) I look forward to you joining me for 11 am Worship each Saturday. --Pastor Mark Swaisgood
